DonoStrong x Jortstop
Night 2025
Saturday August 2nd, 2025
Dust off your denim—Jortstop Night is BACK for 2025!
For the past three years, our community has come together for an unforgettable night of fun, friendship, and fundraising in support of The V Foundation for Cancer Research. Thanks to your incredible support, we've made a real impact in the fight against cancer.
This year, we’re proud to announce that Jortstop Night 2025 will continue our partnership with The V Foundation and expand our mission by supporting a cause very close to home.
Recently, our friend and longtime Jortstop supporter Adam Donofrio was diagnosed with a glioma, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer. If you've been to Jortstop before, chances are you’ve met Adam—his energy, positivity, and generosity have helped shape our event from the very beginning.
Cancer is a fight no one should face alone.
That’s why a portion of this year’s proceeds will go to #DonoStrong, helping to ease the financial burden of Adam’s battle while we continue funding life-saving cancer research through The V Foundation.
Thanks to The V Foundation’s support, we've been able to grow this event and deepen its impact—and this year, we need your help more than ever.
Read below for full event details and to learn more about Adam’s story below.
Together, we Jort. Together, we fight. Together, we make a difference.

Adam Donofrio (first row far left) is a healthy and strong-minded 26-year-old from Pittsburgh, PA, now living in Washington DC. He loves Star Wars, sports, video games, working out, and most importantly, spending time with his loved ones.
Adam is quirky and goofy and loves to make people smile and laugh. From his crazy outfits to his sometimes off-the-wall comments, he never takes life too seriously. He is so often a bright spot in otherwise trying times. His infectious laugh has been a cure for so many of us in those frequent times of need.
Adam has always been very empathetic and cares more for others than he ever has for himself. He is always one to give a helping hand, advice, or the best hug of your life.
Now Adam needs our help. He has recently been diagnosed with Glioma, a form of brain cancer that can grow rapidly and which will require several rounds of radiation, chemotherapy, and other treatments that may not otherwise be covered by insurance. Adam and his family are now facing an assortment of medical bills and can use all the help they can get. If you’re able, please donate any amount you feel comfortable with, and if you can’t donate at this time, please keep Adam in your thoughts and prayers.
Our Story and History:
In 2022, our group of 75 became the Phillies newest fan group, Jean's Jeans. Supporting fan favorite second basemen Jean Segura. An impromptu night that ended up becoming a reunion of friends and family. Our energy was contagious in the stadium. From appearances on the Phillies broadcast to a shoutout from Jean himself in his postgame interview we realized we caught lightning in a bottle.
In 2023, Jean Segura was no longer a part of the Phillies but we were determined to leverage the traction we gained to build something to last. The Phillies signed Trea Turner that offseason and we came up with "Jortstop Night", a way to welcome Philadelphias newest shortstop, with a play on words to keep our beloved denim theme. However, we didn't stop there. We knew Trea and his wife, Kristen, were NC State grads and big supports of The Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research. We decided to turn our event into a fundraiser for The V Foundation.
2024 saw our biggest turnout to date, with over 200 volunteers we raised $5500 for The V Foundation. Each year our support has grown and we look to continue that this year. The V Foundation has been incredibly helpful in helping us surpass our fundraising goals and we need your help for another incredible event this summer.
